Introducing…Lylia Rose AKA Victoria.
The idea behind it is to encourage other bloggers and share others work so it doesn’t matter how many followers/readers they have or any other stats, it’s just about getting bloggers and vloggers out there a bit more.

Hello, my name is Victoria and I’m 33 years old. I am married to Ben and we have two children – a girl called Bella age 6 and a boy called Reuben age 3. We live in South West England on the very edge of Gloucester. It’s a city, but we don’t feel like we live in the city as we’re on the edge so have countryside, hills, woods and farms a five minute walk from our home. I’m a full time blogger. I started blogging in April 2013 and began to make a part time wage in April 2016. In May 2017 I went full time and it’s been my main income every since. I now run two blogs which are my original blog Lylia Rose and also my newest blog I started this year Healthy Vix. I also write regularly for my husband’s blog too.
What is your favourite blog post/vLog and why? (Include links)
One of my most inspiring is ‘5 tried and tested ways to make money as a UK stay at home mum’ which shares the ways I have successfully been able to stay at home and make my own income whilst raising my two children. It’s full of resources and blog posts for those who are interested to learn more. I’m amazed every day that it’s possible to make an income from home.
One of my personal favourites though is ‘the 3 things having children has taught me to appreciate’ as it’s a nice reminder of everything that is great about having children and how the small things matter. Having two kids and running three blogs can certainly become overwhelming, consuming and stressful, so it’s nice to take a step back and appreciate some of the smaller things.
What is your favourite part of being a blogger/vlogger?
I love to write! I guess a blank page and a keyboard (or pen) to me is like a blank canvas and some paints to an artist. I get to express myself and thoughts through words. I love nothing more than typing away and letting the words flow. I find it cathartic.
Of course it’s also amazing that I’ve managed to turn it into my job, but I blogged for three years before monetising and I’d continue to blog as a hobby even if there was no money to be made. I love being able to create an online scrapbook of family memories which I do once per month in a monthly family roundup.
If you could give a new blogger/vlogger one piece of advice, what would it be?
Blog about the things you are passionate about in your own voice and don’t try to be anyone else. It can take a little while to find your voice and that’s fine. Don’t think you have to overcomplicate your writing and instead just write naturally. Then you’ll enjoy it so much more!
Where is your favourite location/attraction for a family day out and why?
We really love Cotswold Wildlife Park. Some animal parks are so small you can only spend 1-2 horus wandering around, but Cotswold Wildlife Park is a whole day. There are so many animals and amazing plants to see. Plus a big adventure playground for the kids! I also love to picnic there out on the open grass next to the rhinos!
You get in a lift with a lady pushing a buggy, the baby is newborn and screaming his/her head off, the mum looks frazzled to say the least. What do you say to her?
Oh gosh, I have no idea! That’s definitely been me on more than one occasion and I really don’t know what anyone could say to make me feel better. One saying I always try to remember when times are tough is ‘this too shall pass’.
Tell us your favourite WTF (what the f**k?) moment in parenting?
Oh gawd. So many. Probably the worst was when my son threw up all over a hire car when we were visiting family in Germany. He is rarely sick and we had nothing with us like wipes, spare clothes or towels. The sick was everywhere and it gets all in the nooks and crannies of the kids car seats. It was so gross. We had to just drive back to our hotel to sort it all out and couldn’t do anything at the time as we just had no supplies on us. Parenting fail!
What would you say to 14 year old you?
Be yourself! Don’t be any different to try to please or impress others. Be confident and don’t worry what other people think.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I have a weird thing with spoons. If I don’t have to use a spoon then I won’t! For example most people would eat a cake with a spoon in a restaurant, but I’d have to ask for a fork!
You can have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would you pick and why?
Can I just pick one? My husband! As in a kid-free night just the two of us! I love eating out and it’s so rare that me and my husband get time alone without the children.
Massive thanks to Victoria for taking part in the series, I did chuckle when I read about her issue with spoons and I think it’s super cute that she’d want a dinner date with her husband. Just goes to show that me and Ric aren’t the only ones that are ships passing in the night!
Finally, Victoria’s favourite song of the summer is:
