I suppose I have to say that no one tagged me in the Blogger Autumn Tag, I just fancied doing it! I always like reading them on others blogs. If you want to have a go, feel free to say I tagged you!
1. Favourite candle scent?
I always gravitate towards the “Fresh Linen” Yankee candle. I used to have lots of candles pre-children and loved nothing more than lighting them all on an evening and sitting in the cosiness. Now they all live in a box in the kallax unit (of which we have five in our house) and occasionally I may get one out if I’m feeling fancy.
2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
Nine times out of ten I will choose tea (milk and one, if you’re asking) and occasionally a little indulgence in the form of a hot chocolate, but it’s got to have the full works – cream, marshmallows, maybe even a flake! The Costa Black Forest Hot Chocolates are life and I’m surprised that Sienna didn’t come out as one, given the amount I drank when pregnant with her!
3. What’s the best fall memory you have?
Honestly, not gonna lie, I just googled “What months are Autumn?” *Holds head in shame* It’s September, October and November, in case you were not sure! I don’t have a specific Autumn memory as such but since having Lucas we’ve had a kids Halloween party every year and they’ve been good fun. They all look so cute dressed up. I took Lucas trick or treating for the first time last year and he loved it.
4. Which make up trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eye liner?
Winged eye liner. Here’s an interesting fact about me: I’ve never been able to do winged eyeliner then my sister got me a L’Oreal one for Christmas a few years ago and it was like magic. Suddenly I was able to do it and I have continued to. I still by L’Oreal liquid eyeliner but not the exact same one. It doesn’t seem to matter.
5. Best fragrance for fall?
I don’t change my perfume for seasons! I don’t buy enough perfume for that to happen! A couple of favourites are Ricci by Nina Ricci and La Vie Est Belle by Lancome.
6. Favourite Thanksgiving food?
I live in the UK so we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but my favourite foods in Autumn, as it starts to get a little colder, is all my lovely slow cooker recipes – pulled pork, stew etc. A little stodge on a cold night is perfect.
7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
Hard to say when the weather in the UK is so unpredictable! This year I feel like we’ve had stereotypical weather for the seasons – summer was red hot and we got loads of snow in winter. Autumn is cooler, a little windy sometimes but generally okay from what I can remember. This year I think it’s been quite mild.
8. Most worn sweater?
Last year it was my two cowl neck hoodies – a blue one from Primark and a Hari and the Gang “Hello” beige one. I’m getting a little excited to wear them again this year!
9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
I have my nails done every two to three weeks so a range of colours are used in those autumnal months. I tend to lead towards the deep berry colours.
10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
Both! I like them equally. Jumping in leaf piles is slightly less competitive.
11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Leggings for comfort but skinny jeans with my hoodies and nice jumpers too. My favourite thing this autumn is my pinafores! You can see my outfits over on my Instagram most days.
12. Combat boots or uggs?
I don’t own Uggs. The closest I came was a pair of Blowfish boots which lasted me years and I adored! I either wear black leather boots or my lace up, sheepskin boots which i got to replace the blowfish ones but aren’t as slouchy.
13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
No, I don’t drink coffee and I don’t like pumpkin flavour so it’s lost on me.
14. Favourite fall TV show?
Once September hits, I love that my weekend TV is filled with X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. I’m particularly excited that Robbie Williams is on X Factor this year as I will enjoy swooning over him every Saturday and Sunday night.
15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
There isn’t one. Apart from Christmas songs in Winter my playlist tends to stay pretty much the same all the way through the year. This tag has got me wondering if I should be more seasonal with certain things!
